Why do PEPSI and COMPAQ ads look similar to me- is it because more importance is given to the KHAN rather than on the product he is endorsing?;)
Seriosuly I always felt that Sharukh cud have been a parto f much more creative ads but i guess the ad makers get s carried away by Khans stardom and thinks that Khan alone can sell product hence they pay no attention to creativity
Madhoo(o)-I agree with you. I love the Happydent/Chlromint ones. :) Quite innovative and funny too. The ad which I think I could never shake off my mind was an old Titan one. Titan used to have these annual sale sprees and the ad featured a nerd just looking into the camera and repeating: "Pachas se Dhai Sau Rupai ki choot, Pachas se Dhai Sau Rupai ki choot" (or "Rupees 50 to 250 off, Rupees 50 to 250 off" as the English one went). Boy! it was so annoying and hence difficult to forget. This ad ran for some 2-3 years. Remember this one?

Very true, @viewer.:)
The SBI ads are just awesome and you don't even recognise any face in them !!
i haven't seen many "creative ads" with famous people in it.
Yes, creativity takes a beating when they are trying to show off the celebrity more than the brand.
"Give Me Red" by Amitabh Bachchan !!
Plchhh... plcchhh... plcchhh...
@sunil: Ads are at best when there are no known faces in them.:)
